The Aquarian League

Projects

Projects is the general name used for various activities within the Aquarian League. There are two types of projects:

Business Projects are funded by donations from the general public and by retained earnings from other projects. Community Projects are funded by the allocation of profits earned by Business Projects. This allocation is done at the local level by the staff of the organization that earned those profits, and at the global level, under the direction of the Foundation whose project it is, and the Individual Members who funded it.

Working Name Description
Aqua Plastic Conversion Taking the plastic out the ocean and other waterways - This project will design, construct, and operate:
  • A fleet of sailboats that will go to the several oceanic plastic patches, remove the plastic by skimming, and then utilize the ShivaPWC technology to convert the plastic into fuel which will be used to support ongoing operations.
  • A number of ShivaPWC systems placed near the mouths of the ten rivers that are responsible for over 95% of the eight million plus tons of plastic being introduced into our oceans each year, coupled with fixed and mobile skimmers to capture and process the plastic on site. The ShivaPWC systems will use the plastic to generate electricity and/or fuel for local consumption.
